The “Portraits of Touriss” series was carried out in Paris in 1996 at the time of the “Vigipirate” security programme. It offers an itinerary which is both ironic and disurbing through the main touris spots of Paris in search of these potential terroris hiding places. The manhole covers, dusbins, and sundry vents are deformed and grow through the unique vision of the pinhole camera, sretching their dark and menacing tentacles around the innocuous images of touriss posing in front of the monuments.
